Prof. Shah Monir Hossain Worked 33 years in government services and retired as Director-General of Health Service, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), Government of Bangladesh. He is the Advisor of Bangladesh NCD Forum, a network under Eminence Associates for Social Development. Academically, he obtained graduation in Medicine (MBBS) and M.Phil (Pathology) from Dhaka University, MPH from North South University, Honorary FCPS (Histopathology) from Bangladesh College of Physician and Surgeons, Post Graduate certificate course in Pathology from the University of Edinburgh, UK. He was Senior National Advisor for 07 years 04 months in the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO-UN) in Bangladesh. Later on successfully provided consultancy supports for 04 months to UNICEF, Bangladesh in developing Urban Immunization Strategy, and now working as National Consultant in World Health Organization (WHO) in Bangladesh. Alongside he is a visiting Professor of Public Health, North South University (NSU), Dhaka, Bangladesh, and of Public Health, Institute of Public Health, Government of Bangladesh.
