For the effective promotion and marketing of SHOSTI, different measures are taken. The clinic is owned and managed by local people. They are responsible for ensuring the primary health service of the clients and creating a viable and reliable medical practice. Throughout the first year, Eminence is working closely with SHOSTI to get the clinic on a sound operational footing, using this medical clinic plan as a guiding management tool.

SHOSTI focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions of all ages while emphasizing preventative medicine and the overall health and wellness of his patients. The clinic utilizes new equipment and a trained staff that is able to optimize the care of each patient. It tries to provide the most comprehensive medical care possible in order to optimize the care and well-being of each patient.

Position One: Chief Executive Coordinator, SHOSTI

Post Vacancy: 1 (One)

Being a non-profit organization in Bangladesh, Eminence is working in the prevention and awareness of NCDs and their risk factors since its inception in 2003. Building up on its experience in implementing researchers and intervention programs mainly the community based lifestyle modification program “Non Communicable Diseases Program (NCDP)” Eminence initiated SHSOTI with the aim to Securing Health through Safe Treatment and Other Initiatives. Through this initiative, Eminence expects to play significant role in delivering health services for the mass population of urban areas of Bangladesh focusing on the poor and marginalized people. At present there is at least one SHOSTI Centre in 20 districts with a plan to extend to all 64 districts of the country

The Chief Executive Coordinator of SHOSTI will be reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for leading and effectively managing a team for implementing the Community Based Sustainable Integrated Services Program and related researches. S/he will be expected to ensure smooth operation of every SHOSTI Centre and also contribute to translation of  research to influence national and global policies and development of relevant institutional capacities.

The position will be based at Eminence headquarters in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

 Responsibilities of a Chief Executive Coordinator

  • Implementing the planned activities to provide integrated health services including clinical service, laboratory service, manage community development service  in15 clinics in different districts around the country.
  • Provide the following services but are not limited to:
    • Neonatal, infant and child health related diseases
    • Reproductive health and gynecological diseases
    • Adolescent health related diseases
    • Non Communicable Diseases
    • Communicable diseases
    • Eye related diseases
    • Mental health and autism
    • Implement the research activities being conducted at every SHOSTI centres
    • Develop promotional and advocacy materials
    • Manage Human resource recruitment and regular monitoring of the staffs at the different clinics
    • Manage the administrative and financial operation of the different SHOSTI Centres along with monthly report generation for individual clinics.
    • Form Community Management Groups and conduct monthly meetings
    • Provide mentor ship for capacity building, educational and career development of the clinic staff
    • Determines appropriate selection of emerging technologies and information systems
    • Builds consensus among the team members and resolves conflict
    • Leverage professional networks to partner with national/global institutions for collaborative working
    • Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality;

Required Qualification and Experience

  • MBBS with Public Health Post Graduate Degree from Abroad
  • Strong record of participating in Research Activities
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Public Health Development Sector

Head office, Dhaka with frequent visits  and40% of the total time to the different Shosti Centres in different districts for implementing program, research, monitoring and management purpose.

Post Two: Medical Officer /Clinic Manager

Post Vacancy: Fifteen (15)

The Medical Officer /Clinic Manager of SHOSTI  will be reporting directly to the Chief Executive Coordinator, SHOSTI and  will be responsible for implementing the Community Based Sustainable Integrated Services Program and related researches. S/he will be expected to ensure smooth operation of the Shosti Centre and assist in research and capacity building program.

The position will be based at any district of Bangladesh.

 

Responsibilities of Medical Officer/Clinic Manager for a Shosti Centre

  • Provide integrated health services with the following services but are not limited to:
    • Neonatal, infant and child health related diseases
    • Reproductive health and gynecological diseases
    • Adolescent health related diseases
    • Non Communicable Diseases
    • Communicable diseases
    • Eye related diseases
    • Mental health and autism
    • Assist in implementing the research activities being conducted at Shosti centres
    • Assist in developing promotional and advocacy materials
    • Mobilize the community in promoting Shosti and its services
    • Conduct regular monitoring of the staffs at the clinic
    • Assist in managing the administrative and financial operation of the Shosti Centre along with monthly report generation
    • Assist in forming Community Management Groups and conducting monthly meetings
    • Implement capacity building programs for the staffs at the clinic
    • Assist in lever aging professional networks to partner with national/global institutions for collaborative working
    • Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality;

Required Qualification and Experience

  • MBBS (MPH will be preferred)
  • Record of participating in Research Activities
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience
