Job Summary:

The Chief Technical Advisor is responsible for develop and implement vision, strategy and technical direction in Social Development, Health, Education, Equity, Quality and Sustainability. S/ he will serve as the organization’s one of principal contact points for funder, government, civil society and implementing partners.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the all technical team of Health, Nutrition and Food Secuurity, Education, Climate change, Governance and ICT.
  • Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Advisor and Business Development Team establishing short and long-term goals for strategic activities.
  • Lead to the assessment, research, reports, design of funding proposals, concept note etc.
  • Develop strategy and plan for achieving goals with an outline of partner organizations, donors; outreach and messaging strategies for each.
  • Development and implementation of Eminence’s Fundraising strategy.
  • Develop and grow Eminence’s individual donor base: identify high net worth individuals, customize their experience with organization and close deals.
  • Supervise and supports project staff and consultants in achieving program objective and outcome.
  • Create and maintain good working relationships with all partners, including the funder, government counterparts, local organizations, and program azrtners.
  • Participate in the Local/National/International policy level meeting as an ambassador of Eminence.
  • Ensure that procedures are established and adhered to for activity development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, procurement and budgeting..
  • Ensure timely progress against schedules, achievement of deliverables, and quality of results.
  • Provide technical advice and contribution to enhance the capacity of Units including the development of Proposal, Concept, appropriate Materials and Training programs for successful implementation of the projects.
  • Identify priorities in the design of work plans, and establish a timely and participatory work planning process.
  • Ensure the overall relevance and performance of projects, the effective realization and quality of outputs, and adherence to applicable Eminence standards, rules and regulations.
  • Provide technical advice to the Chairman, CEO and BOD in developing baselines and indicators for project monitoring and evaluation, as well as in preparing reports focused on capturing results, lessons learned and good practices.
  • Provide substantive inputs to the preparation of policy and procedures for important events (e.g. donor forums, international conferences, etc.).
  • Exercise overall responsibility for planning, implementation, management, monitoring and coordination aspects of the projects.
  • Ensure strong partnerships with other stakeholders, by facilitating communication and exchange of lessons learned and good practices.
  • Ensure timely production and submission of progress reports to Eminence/ Partners

Requirements:

Education:

Advanced University degree (Masters or PhD) preferably of MSS/ MDS /MA /MPH.

Experience:

  • Minimum 20 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of advising, organizing and supervising project activities partnering with Donor, Partner organizations.
  • Experience working with the international development sector preferred

Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of the health, nutrition, social, economic, political, technological and historical trends of the country.
  • Knowledge of the legislation, regulations and financial issues relating to fundraising preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge in project management and frameworks.
  • Sound understanding of the international programming in developing countries.
  • Knowledge of individuals, donors and networks making significant contributions in the global response of development.
  • Sound understanding of the funding landscape.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and engage a wide range of funders and stakeholders.
  • Excellent managerial and organizational skills with the ability to deliver results.
  • Excellent skill in verbal and written communications in English particularly in preparing issue-based papers or reports.
  • Skills in training, process facilitation, strategic planning and partnership building.
  • Excellent project management skill.
