Eminence is run by its various departments and units underneath it. Each of these departments is the heart of the organizational operational structure. Below, are some information on the departments and its units.

Administration and Human Resource

The “Administration and Human Resource” department is the heart of all administrative activities of the organization. This department oversees the activities of the Head Office, Administrative Unit, Human Resource Unit, and the Organizational Assets Management and Development Unit. The transport, store, and overall management of the organization get operated under the Director of the Administration and Human Resource department. Communication Science

As fast growing national organization, we believe in the power of communication, media, and information technology for sustainable development for any community.As all these are cross cutting themes, our strategy is to engage media – traditional, mass and new – for the better part of our communication activities. Since information, technology is the next cornerstone of the sustainable development; all our approaches are focus on innovative use of technology and information dissemination.Through this department the issues that Eminence works for are i) Communication, ii) Media, iii) Journalism, and, iv) Information Technology. Community Development

The center of Eminence activities are the development of the community that we work in. We firmly believe that, community is the main force of all sustainable changes and therefore for sustaining any change in any portfolio, involving the community is the best buy. The Community Development departments works in broadly with i) Urban Development, ii) Rural Development, iii) Transportation, iv) Housing, v) Infrastructure Development, and v)Electricity and Energy. With these focus areas, all the Eminence initiatives get run from this department. The initiatives are i) Bisharga, ii) Center of Training for Sustainable Social Development (CTSSD), iii) Homely Endeavor for Lonely Parents (HELP), iv) PROVATEE, v) Securing Health Through Safe Treatment and Other Initiatives (SHOSTI), and vi) William Arthur McLellan Institute for Social Development (WAM – ISD). Education Science

Under the theme of “Education” the focus is i) Education, ii) Early Childhood Development, iii) Human Resource Development, iv) Institutional Development, and v) Employment. The focus is to emphasize on working with communities, individuals, institutions, and governments to improve need based and issue based capacity development specially establishing nursing education, health technology, other technical education, general education etc. Through the Education Department activities, we focus on teaching and learning in and out of classrooms, emphasizing locally relevant curricula, as well as community participation. Environmental Science

Under the department of “Environmental Science”, the organizational activities are focused on Environment, Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction, Bio-Diversity, Natural Resource, and Water-Sanitation. Through these focused areas, the activities include evidence generation, capacity building, advocacy, and policy activities. Finance Management

The “Finance Management” department is the core of all financial activities of Eminence. This department and its team members oversee the activities of the overall financial management of the head office, project activities, grant management, internal audit, petty cash management, issue of cheque, bank and accounts management. Health Services

Under the department of “Health Services”, the organizational activities are focused on Neonatal, Child, Adolescent, Maternal, Reproductive, Sexual, and Geriatric Health. Health System

The core of any organizational activities depends on the systems approach. Therefore, this department focuses oncrucial issues like Population, Demography, Health System, Health Insurance, and Health Equity. Infectious Diseases

Despite many achievements in the health sector, Bangladesh still has the burden of infectious diseases in many parts of the country. Some of these diseases are concentrated in pocket areas or population. Keeping this in mind, this department has put its focus on Communicable Diseases, HIV/AIDS, TB, Food and Water Born Diseases, Liver Diseases and Urban Health. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

This department is the core of all-internal Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning activities of Eminence and external Business Development for the organization. The unit’s under this department are, i) Data Management, ii) Monitoring, iii) Quality Assurance and Technical Review, iv) Information and Data Management, and v) Business Development. The issues that gets covered by the these units are, i) Representative from All Departments and Coordinate Between CEO and Others, ii) Monitoring and Accountability, iii) Quality Assurance and Technical Review, and iv) Data Management and Documentation. Non-Communicable Diseases

From its inception, Eminence has put forward Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) as one of its core area of focus. Considering the country perspective and global agenda setting, this department has put focus on Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases, Cancer, Lung Diseases, Disability, Autism, Injury, Mental Health, and Drowning. Nutrition Security

Under the “Nutrition Security” department, the organizational focus is on life course approach for “Nutrition” and to supplement this; our focus is “Food Safety and Security”. In these two focused areas the department generate evidences, provide services, builds capacity and strengthening programs and policies to improve the quality, access and use of proven services and practices. Through this department, we address the major issues under malnutrition – both aspects, delivering community-based interventions for improving nutritional status, increasing access to secure and safe food and giving community the skills they need to practice nourishing lifestyle. The departmental focus includes Breastfeeding, Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), Nutrition, Food Security, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Live Stock. Social Science

Under the department of “Social Science”, the organizational activities are focused on Poverty, Livelihood, Gender, Violence Against Women, Governance, International Relation, Human Rights.
